COVID-19 Response

As we all deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, separately yet together, we at Garden Living feel it is absolutely imperative that we do all we can to protect public safety, including, in our particular case, the health and safety of our own staff and of our clients.

At the same time, we are keenly aware that our clients want to see their projects moving forward, and to see installations completed at the earliest possible time, as safety guidelines permit.

Back in mid-March, we moved to a work at home arrangement for all design, project management and office staff. We remain available to discuss, plan and design all projects. Once approved, all projects are being placed in the production cue and will be processed in the order in which they were received.

At the same time, in mid-March we reduced manufacturing (section 23 - Government of Ontario list of essential workplaces) staffing to a bare minimum. We will, at such time as is appropriate and in a safe manner, gear up production to facilitate all orders as quickly as possible.

As we anticipate the “new normal” brought about by COVID-19 we realize that it will be absolutely essential to operate in a manner that protects employees, clients and the general public. It is not business as usual.

We have drafted company health and safety regulations which will be enforced along with full compliance with all provincial health and safety directives, until such time as these are deemed unnecessary by the provincial medical authorities. These regulations will apply both within our facility as well as on, and travelling to, project sites.

In the meantime, we are available now, and looking forward to working with our clients on all their outdoor living projects. Please contact us, and we’ll review how we can get started on these projects together. Bill West, President Garden Living
